Spanish home sales went up in 2010 and reached a total of 442.368 sales. 50.4% of houses sold were new homes, while 49.6% were pre-owned homes.

The sale of new homes grew up by 1.8% in comparison to 2009, this meaning that the total increase in sales was helped mainly by the increase in pre-owned sales by 12.4%. This increase put an end to the intense decrease registered in the past two years.

Let’s visualize this increase in each region.

As you can see from the map, Andalusia registered the biggest home sales in 2010, followed by Madrid, Comunidad Valenciana and Catalonia.
