Real estate prices have decreased by 5%

According to new reports issued by TINSA, housing prices have dropped 5% last month in relation to January 2010. The total decrease since prices reached their maximum level, goes up to 19.6%.

All the regions have reported a decrease in house prices. The biggest decrease was registered along the Mediterranean Coast, an average 8.6%. Below average were prices from metropolitan areas and from the Islands (Balearic and Canary). Prices dropped here by 3.4%.

The Mediterranean Coast registered a historical minimum as the total reduction of prices reached 27.2%. Metropolitan areas recorded declines of 21.2 percent, followed by the capitals and major cities, with 20.9 percent.
