Social media marketing is like a tornado that has taken us by surprise. Forget advertisments in newspapers or on TV! Now you can sell using Facebook or Twitter. It may seem that selling has become easier this way, but it can go bad if you don’t master some skills or don’t respect the people around you. But one thing is clear, social media is all about building relationships and having a true dialogue with potential clients.

Hello, sorry, I had trouble loading your slideshow, but your topic interests me. Thank you for the post. I’ve read a book called Social Media 101, it’s by Chris Brogan and has some helpful tips concerning real estate that your reader might be interested in.

    He recommends the following:
    – buy a video camera and shoot your own walk-throughs
    – use an editing program such a iMovie (Mac) or Windows Media Maker (PC)
    – Find hosting for the video such as YouTube, Blip.tv or Vimeo
    – create a helpful blog, such as posts on curb appeal, how to declutter a home for better showability, etc.
    – Ask for testimonials
    – Add Flickr photos of some selling points of the town
    – Record audio reports of of people’s general feelings about the town.

    Happy blogging!
