The retail market in Málaga gets hit hard

The Málaga retail market has lost since 2009 over 5.400 employees, according to the Syndicate of Workers, which has also said that this is the first time when the summers sales have not helped create new jobs. In past years, the sales season had created almost 4000 jobs.

According to officials from the syndicate, this change will be seen in the quality of customer care and in the increased workload at the overall employee. Apparently the reduction of the number of employees has affected mostly the women, as they comprise 56% of the retail workforce.
