Get real: why are you selling?

This is actually an important question. By answering the question “why do I want to sell” you will be able to come up with a good strategy for a great sale.  That one simple answer will help you set a price on your property.

The times are changing. This is a certain fact. This is true for people’s reason for selling their property. Not long ago, people were selling because they wanted to relocate, to buy a larger or a smaller house. People sell for different reasons now. Either they can’t handle their mortgage payments or they cannot afford to maintain that big house they bought in the real estate boom. No matter the reason, it’s useful to identify it so you’ll know where you are headed.

Also, it’s important to have this reason in mind if you have dificulties in selling your home. Don’t get angry or attempt to quit the sale if you don’t have prospective buyers. Stick with the plan!
