Make the sellers an offer they can’t refuse!

So you’ve found the perfect home! But don’t dive in headfirst when it comes to making an offer on the house. Offering a lot of money will not guarantee your dream-house. You have to stand out in front of the seller so he’ll know that you are the perfect candidate. Here are some tips on how to make them an offer they can’t refuse:

1.  Hire an experienced real estate agent. It’s in their best interest to help you make a deal. So, before you choose, it’s recommended that you screen several real estate agents and choose an experienced negotiator.

2. Get to know the seller. Establish a friendly relationship with the sellers, and this applies to the realtors. Your realtor will chat up the seller’s agent. These friendly chats help you find out if the seller is in a hurry to sell or whether the seller is deeply attached to the home.

3. Make concessions. After you’ve got to know the sellers, you will be ready to discuss with your agent which concessions you can make to insure that the house is yours. Give them time to pack and move or jump in if they want to move quickly. But don’t get carried away!

4. Deliver the offer in person. Present the offer in person and head off any interpretations. Moreover, the sellers will know that you are really involved in the purchase and it’s important for you.
